Merrell Speed Eco Women’s Walking Shoes

Merrell’s most sustainable, eco-friendly hiking shoe, the Speed Eco features recycled laces, upper, lining, EVA footbed and a recycled rubber outsole. It is Merrell’s most recycled shoe to date, keeping you hiking in comfort, with the capability you demand for any trail or hike.

Recycled Jacquard Upper

Made from a combination of recycled materials, the Speed Ecos provide you with the performance you need on the trails, in an eco-friendly containment of sustainably sourced fabrics. The upper is constructed from 77% recycled Jacquard, for exceptional breathability and outstanding comfort. The materials are highly durable to keep feet protected across differing terrain, whilst breathable properties ensure feet remain cool. Alongside this, a 100% recycled breathable mesh lining is used which keeps feet at an optimum level of comfort. The mesh has strategically placed perforations for a constant supply of airflow, which subsequently helps to reduce heat and keep feet cool and cosy on adventures. The fabrics have moisture-wicking properties, which prevent a build-up of sweat and moisture, for a dry and comfortable wearing experience. The Speed Ecos have a bellowed tongue, which sits comfortably against the top of your foot to prevent irritation or abrasion, however, also stops dirt and debris from entering. The traditional recycled laces and webbing allow you to get the perfect fit and prevent in-shoe slipping. Finally, the heel loop works alongside this and assists in getting your shoes on and off much easier, whilst is also carabiner compatible.

EVA Midsole

Featuring a lightweight EVA foam midsole, the Speed Ecos ensure excellent stability and underfoot comfort, accompanying you on all those long hiking adventures. The comfortable midsole cushions steps, whilst providing shock absorption for injury reduction, for a distraction-free journey. Alongside this, the shoes have a 100% recycled mesh footbed cover to provide feet with enhanced breathability to keep you cool whilst you’re on the move, whilst a 50% recycled removable EVA foam footbed provides you extra levels of cushioning. Finally, the shoes have a Cleansport NXT treatment for natural odour control, meaning fresher feeling and smelling shoes.

Recycled Rubber Outsole

The Speed Eco Walking Shoes boast an outsole made from 30% recycled rubber, which not only provides your feet with excellent grip and traction across various surfaces but is also environmentally friendly. This recycled outsole guarantees exceptional grip and traction on wet and muddy terrains, keeping you confident no matter where your adventure takes you.
