Designed to keep you warm in the harshest of conditions, the Arkos Reflect Down Jacket is packed with extremely effective insulating Hydrodown technology with 700 fill power. This technology developed by Berghaus has been tested in some of the most extreme conditions around the globe. The Hydrodown is extremely lightweight, but despite this its heat-to-weight ratio is extremely efficient, resulting in you feeling warm without the bulk, so you are free to move without restrictions. The down is also extremely compressible, making it easy to pack away when not in use. Every cluster of Hydrophobic Down undergoes innovative water-repellent treatment, so it absorbs significantly less water, keeping you dry and your kit light. Unlike standard down, when wet the Hydrodown dries off extremely quickly, meaning that it will get back to retaining heat quickly. Tests show that it recovers 80 per cent of its loft, even after three minutes fully immersed in water, making it perfect in changeable conditions. An additional technology that Berghaus have used in the Arkos Reflect Down Jacket is Hydroloft. This insulating technology is designed to improve the distribution of heat within the jacket, whilst also ensuring that the overall weight of it remains low. It is made from extremely fine fibres which mimic the construction of down. It will create small pockets of air that will trap heat within, repelling cold air. The structure of Hydroloft combined with highly breathable fabrics allows excess body heat and moisture to pass quickly through the jacket, ensuring you have enhanced levels of comfort for active use. The synthetic fibres used in Hydroloft do not absorb moisture, and this combined with a durable and PFC-free water-repellent treatment on the outside of the jacket will mean that it will perform in the worst conditions.

A full zip, down the front of the jacket is easily adjusted, making it easy to allow air in to cool you down or to seal heat in by zipping it all the way up. A windproof flap and soft inner chin guard will mean that heat or comfort isn’t compromised. The jacket has a single-point adjustment hood with a bonded hood peak, repelling water away and keeping your head warm. The arms will be kept warm, as there are inner stretch cuffs, which will seal in heat and prevent cold winds from entering and causing discomfort. An adjustable hem will provide personalised comfort at the bottom of the jacket. Two zipped hand pockets and an internal chest pocket, provide you with a perfect place to store all essential items securely. The jacket uses more than 50% recycled insulation, which means that the product meets Berghaus’s MADE KINDER criteria which helps ensure that their gear is more responsibly made.
